High Point White

A bottle of white wine from Worthington Vineyards.Grapes: A blend of grapes including Cayuga, LaCrescent, Frontenac Gris.

Taste/Nose: The sweetest of our wines here, but really considered a semi-sweet wine overall. The blend results in a sweet but complex wine with a wonderful finish. Nice acidity on the nose.

Food Pair: I love this wine with spicy food or deserts… like shortcake.

Label: The 220 ft monument at High Point State Park marks the highest point in NJ and is a monument to all war veterans completed in 1930. Drawn by Erin Kelly.

Misc: For Dry Wine drinkers this is a dessert wine, for sweet wine drinkers this is good for any day at any time. This is a sweet wine without the syrupy feel.

Price: $18.00

Open Tastings begin April 26, 2025.

Open Tastings are every Saturday from 12-5pm and every Sunday 12-4pm.

No reservations are needed for any Open Tasting event. For groups of 8 or more, contacting us ahead of time may give you suggestions for timing.

The open tasting fee is $10.

Please check our calendar for Open Tastings dates and Special Events.

Outside tastings are popular from late spring through early autumn. Pack a picnic lunch or appetizers and enjoy the picnic tables, weather permitting. Hiking trails are a favorite attraction here, and an enjoyable way to relax before “hitting the road†again.

No “Open Tasting Hours” during the week, but you are welcome to call and arrange for a visit and wine purchase. Please note: be sure to check the winter weather forecast for the Sussex/Wantage area. Snow and ice happen more frequently in northern New Jersey.

Private tastings are available by appointment. If you are interested in a private tasting, or small gathering on other dates please email events@ventivines.com so that we may schedule your visit.

Our Tradition

People enjoying drinks at a cozy bar counter.

The hand-crafted wine making of Ventimiglia Vineyard continues a family tradition passed down for generations. Our wines are made in small batches with carefully selected, top quality grapes. We use oak barrels and minimal chemical or mechanical intervention. Artful blending promotes optimal flavors, aroma, and finish. Our aim is to let you enjoy the delicious wine we share at our own table.

“Our aim is to let you enjoy the delicious wine we share at our own table.”

Our founder and devoted winemaker, Gene Ventimiglia, was influenced at a young age by the European winemaking traditions which his grandfather, Eugenio Ventimiglia, brought to this country at the turn of the last century. For over thirty years, Gene had been making delicious wines to enjoy at home with his family and friends.

Our dream to share our high quality, hand crafted wine has finally come true. In August 2006, with Federal Permit and New Jersey Winery license in hand, Gene and his wife, Anne, along with their family and good friends, began professional winemaking at Ventimiglia Vineyard in Wantage, New Jersey.
